Good news: Sony Classics has picked up distribution rights to It Might Get Loud, the recent documentary about the guitar that features Edge, Jimmy Page, and Jack White. You may remember the movie got some rave reviews when it premiered at the Toronto Film Festival a couple months ago.

Sony Classics has distribution rights for North America, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, and they plan to open the film in the summer of 2009.

Daniel Lanois continues to prove that he's learned the art of hype from Bono. Lanois spoke with the Boston Herald about U2's upcoming album:

"The president of the company is singing better than ever and the tracks are wildly innovative. I would never have thought things would have gone this way. I believe, well, rock ’n’ roll has been reinvented one more time. (Laughs)"

Edge was the host for Mencap's "Little Noise Sessions" Friday night in London. According to the NME, Edge introduced The Hours and Kasabian. (You may recall that Bono and Edge were the stars of last year's Little Noise Sessions.)
